Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Harsimran Kaur and Mel Matos conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection. LPAs met with Jaskiran Grewal and Harpreet Grewal. Applicant/ Director and explained the reason for the inspection. The purpose of this inspection: Applicant is applying for a preschool license with the toddler option (change of ownership). Applicant is applying for a capacity of 170 preschool children and 38 for the toddler option. The center will operate from Monday- Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM. Toddler program will run in rooms 1, 2 & 3. Preschool program will run in Room 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12. There is also a school-age program (#4344143) on site that will operate from Monday to Friday 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM in Rooms 12. Hours during the break will be 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Applicant advised that there should be a designated area for required postings, such as notification of parent's rights, personal rights, daily activity schedule, facility sketches, car seat law, and menu. There is working phone at the site, which is 408-735-8333. .

The following are indoor measurements and information:
Preschool Program with Toddler Option

The Indoor total measurements contain a total of { 9196.36 } square feet, which will accommodate Applicant’s request for 170 preschoolers and 36 toddlers

Outdoor total measurements contain a total of { 9538.39 } square feet, which will not accommodate Applicant’s request for 170 preschoolers and 36 toddlers.

There are 340 chairs, 55 tables, 240 cubbies, 132 cots, 13 toilets and 14 sinks for preschool and 3 toilets, 3 sinks for the toddlers. There are age appropriate toys and equipment available for children during todays inspection. LPAs reminded that all disinfectant, cleaning supplies, or other items that could pose a risk to children need to be inaccessible. LPAs also discussed that minimum temperature in the room, which is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. There is fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. There is a first aid kit, which has all the required items. Isolation area is in the facility office.

The outdoor space is fenced. All meals will be brought by children from home. facility will provide snacks. Drinking water is provided through reusable water bottles, water pitchers, & disposable cups.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPAs reviewed with Applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.

The following item's needs to be corrected and submitted.

1) Waiver for preschool playground space.

2) Waiver for shared space with the toddler option children.

3) Waiver for shared space with school age program #434417143.

4) Clean floors in the classrooms.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Harpreet Grewal/Jaskiran grewal. , Applicant/ Director. Copy of the report was provided. Final license determination will be made upon review by Licensing Program Manager and correction of the above issues.
