25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kate Huang conducted an unannounced pre-licensing inspection today and met with the applicant, Siusiao, Wan. The applicant is currently a co-licensee with Hu, Xiangqin under license number 434414749, which is a large family child care home. Since Ms. Hu wishes to withdraw from the license 434414749, Ms. Siusiao has submitted an application for a new license under her own name, at the same address. During today’s visit, there were seven children present, including four infants and three preschool-age children. Adults residing in the home include the licensee and her helper. The hours of operation will be Monday through Sunday, from 6 AM to 8 PM.
The Applicant completed the Preventative Health and Safety Child Care training on 04/16/2022. Pediatric CPR and First Aid training expires on 04/26/2027. Copies of TB test, flu, MMR, and Tdap vaccinations for the Applicant are on file.
LPA toured the inside and outside of the home with Applicant. Applicant resides in a one story single family home. On limit areas include one living room, one bathroom, and two bedrooms. Off limit areas include one master bedroom, one master bathroom, and attached Garage.
LPA observed gas shut off, water shut off and electric shut off areas. Applicant has submitted the facility sketch with all the required information. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher (3A10BC). LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Applicant was reminded that Cleaning Products, toxic agents, medications, and sharp objects should be inaccessible to children.
Applicant has play area for the children in the part of the backyard of the home and LPA observed barricaded gate around the play area. The home is clean, orderly, including heating and air conditioning, for safety & comfort. There is sufficient toys, supplies, and equipment for the day care children indoor and outdoor areas. All toys are age appropriate. LPA reminded Applicant that smoking, baby walkers, Jumpers, bouncers and similar items are not allowed in Family Child Care Homes.
