25 | On 12/06/23 at 11:50 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Teodoro Trujillo and Liridon Fici met with licensee, Claudia Parra for a case management to increase capacity. Present were licensee and assistant Diana with 5 daycare children: Three(3) infants, two (2) preschool age. Previous to today's visit, LPA received a Fire Clearance from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, inspection was conducted on 9/20/23.
A pre licensing inspection was conducted on 08/30/22, no deficiencies were cited during the visit. LPA inspected the second exit for the home. LPA observed a 4A6BC fire extinguisher that was purchased on 09/03/2023, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detectors were operable. Licensee has current CPR and first aid that expires on 3/17/24 and assistant Diana expires on 08/2025. Mandated Reporter training is current and was taken on 07/22/23 and assistant on 08/27/23. LPA observed a screened fireplace, no stairs, no wall heater and Jacuzzi inside a locked sunroom, with sliding windows that are not locked. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. Licensee stated there are no pets in the home. LPA observed there are no restrictions on the fire clearance, classroom (one) 1 and backyard approved for day care use. LPA reviewed with licensee their ratio/capacity for a large FCCH as well as assistant requirement.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed in Spanish with Licensee, Claudia Parra. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
LPAs informed licensee that an increase of capacity to a large family child care home is approved pending Licensing Program Manager approval of the following: sliding window from sunroom with jacuzzi needs to be secured.
