25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deanna Villagrana met with applicant Alba Vivas Uribe to conduct an announced pre-licensing inspection to the home today. The adults that reside in the home are the Applicant, her husband, adult renter and applicant's eight year old daughter.
Days and hours of operation will be Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Applicant has completed her Preventative Health and Safety Child Care Training on 03/07/2024 and a copy of the certification is on file. Applicant's CPR and First Aid certifications are current and expire on 06/20/2026 and completed Mandated Reporter training on 08/10/2024. Applicant rents the home and the Owner/Landlord Notification form (LIC 9151) and Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC9149) is on file giving permission for 12- 14 children. A fire clearance was granted on 09/16/2024. Applicant does not have liability insurance and will issue affidavit regarding liability insurance for FCCH.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas during today's visit. The home is located in a downstairs apartment. There are no stairs or fireplace in the home. Off limit areas inside the home: master bedroom/bath, two bedrooms, and two hallway closets. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working combo smoke and carbon monoxide detector, fenced patio, and no bodies of water. Outdoor activities will be conducted in the patio. Licensee understands must be supervised at all times while playing outdoor. Applicant states that there are no weapons or animals in the home. Cleaning Products, toxic agents, medications, and sharp objects were inaccessible to children. LPA reminded Applicant that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed in Family Child Care Homes.
A review of staff records on 09/26/2024 indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Alba Vivas Uribe was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
