Infant/Toddler outdoor measurements are:
The Indoor total measurements contain a total of {1075.54} square feet, which will accommodate Applicant’s request for 9 infants or 12 toddlers.
Applicant stated that the infants and toddlers will access the playground on a rotation schedule. Applicant shall submit an outdoor waiver for playground use.
LPA observed all classrooms to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Furniture and equipment were observed to be maintained in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All materials and surfaces accessible to children, including toys, shall be free of toxic substances. All play equipment and materials used by children were observed to be age-appropriate. LPA observed no fireplace or open face heaters. LPA observed fully charged fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the facility. There are 46 chairs, 10 tables, 58 cubbies, 33 cots, 4 toilets, 1 potty chair, 9 sinks, 6 cribs, 4 feeding chairs and 2 changing tables available for the preschool, toddlers and infants. Staff have two separate bathrooms that can be utilized by sick children if needed. Sick children will be isolated in the office area of the facility The isolation area shall be equipped with a crib, cot, mat or playpen for each ill child or infant.. LPA observed that items that may pose a danger to children were stored in storage rooms inaccessible to children. LPA advised applicant that all containers used for storage of solid wastes shall have a tight-fitting cover that is kept on, shall be in good repair; and shall be leakproof and rodent-proof. LPA advised that Applicant maintains first-aid supplies in a location accessible to staff but inaccessible to children. Facility is equipped with alarmed doors for security.
LPA observed infant changing table within arms reach to the sink. Applicant stated that facility will provide milk bottles for infants, baby food is prepared at the facility's kitchen. LPA advised Applicant that as per Title 22 regulations, bottles and dishes provided by authorized representatives shall be rinsed and returned to authorized representatives for sanitizing at the end of each day. Applicant was also advised that there shall be a minimum of one hand washing sink to every 15 infants and one potty chair to every 5 infants being toilet trained. LPA discussed that director designated for this facility, Alisa Calantoc, must be assigned to only one facility. Alisa is currently the director at SJB Vinci Park. Applicant was advised that director qualification/credentials must be submitted to the assigned LPA for SJB Vinci Park, in order to officially designate Alisa as director for this location.
