25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joanne Roadilla conducted a tele-inspection visit today via Zoom. The Department has suspended on site visits due to COVID-19 shelter in place order by Governor Newsom. LPA met with Executive Director (ED) Nancy Kao and Director of Plant Operations Steven Parker.
The facility has applied for an increase in capacity from 406 to 408 ambulatory residents for a total capacity of 791. LPA conducted a virtual tour of villa #64. This villa is a 2-story home and can accommodate 2 ambulatory residents.
At around 10:50am, the home was virtually toured inside and out. A thermostat was observed by the living room for regulated temperature at the home. Living and dining rooms were observed to have adequate lighting, the kitchen had new appliances. Hot water temperature in the kitchen was tested and measured at 107.2 degrees F. There is a laundry area across the kitchen.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were observed with adequate lighting and grab bars in the shower and an alarm system inside the bathrooms. The windows in the living room and in the bedrooms were randomly checked to be in good repair. There is an elevator located next to the stairs by the front entrance of the home which was observed in working condition. Combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed in the bedrooms, the den as well as in the hallways. The alarm by the front door and the alarm in the master bedroom were tested and observed working.
