25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christine Dolores arrived unannounced to conduct the facility's annual inspection focusing on infection control. LPA met with Program Director (PD) Judy Gomez and with Regional Director, Jessica Greco via zoom.
During visit, LPA toured the facility with PD to include the common areas, activity rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. No clients observed on-site. Facility conducts the day program virtually on Wednesdays. All staff present are fingerprint cleared.
Facility has a designated entry point for symptom screening and temperature check for all clients, staff, and visitors. Facility verbally asks clients the symptom screening questions prior to attending the day program in-person. Facility documents symptom screening and temperature for all staff. Hand sanitizer made available at entry and throughout the facility. Bathrooms supplied with hygiene products, paper supplies, and hand washing sign. LPA observed facility's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies. Facility staff clean and disinfect multiple times daily and as needed. LPA observed facility's cleaning log. Facility has an isolation room to include a sign for quarantine, donning and doffing poster, PPE cart located inside and outside the room, and trash can with lid located inside and outside the room. LPA reviewed facility's procedures to isolation. Staff are trained on infection control. Staff are N95 fit tested. The following posters observed to include social distancing, symptoms of COVID, stop the spread of germs, and hand washing.
No deficiencies were cited per California Code of Regulations, Title 22.
