25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christine Dolores conducted a scheduled technical assistance visit and met with Executive Director (ED), Kevin Booth. During visit, LPA conducted a Facetime tour of the facility with PCC, Cristina Wong and LPM, Sarah Yip. The purpose of the visit was to provide technical assistance to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 at the facility. The ED, Kevin Booth reports that there are currently 0 COVID-19 positive residents and 0 COVID-19 positive staff. The last COVID-19 positive case was of a staff, cleared to return on 8/18/2021 by 10-day quarantine period.
LPA toured the facility to include: entry point, activity room, dining room, kitchen, assisted living and memory care isolation room, and common bathrooms. LPA observed hand-washing signs in the bathrooms, sanitizer stations throughout facility, visitor/staff screening logs, and donning and doffing poster in assisted living isolation room.
During today's tele-visit, the following recommendations were made to the facility by PCC, Cristina Wong:
1. Place masking poster outside of the entrance and throughout the facility
2. Place social-distancing posters throughout all common areas of the facility to include, activity rooms, dining rooms, elevators, break room, courtyard, and hallways
3. Place hand-washing posters next to all sinks, including the activity room
4. Place a trash can with a foot operated lid next to the hand-washing station at the Bistro
5. Place maximum capacity signs at the elevators and break room
6. Add additional symptoms to visitor and staff log to include ALL COVID-19 symptoms (loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, etc.)
No deficiencies were cited as per California Code of Regulations, Title 22. This report was reviewed via tele-visit and email copy was provided to ED, Kevin Booth, for signature. |
