32 | Licensee has requested the following rooms to be ‘on limits’ to day-care children: living room, dining area, one hallway bathroom, 2 hallway bedrooms located on the first floor and the entire backyard.
Licensee has requested the following rooms be ‘off limits’ to day-care children: the garage, the kitchen, two hallway bathrooms located on first floor and the upstairs master bedroom with bathroom .
Licensee has child proof barriers present and affixed at the beginning of the stairs leading to the second floor and a second one between the kitchen and dinning area. LPA Dodoo, discussed and reiterated documents that go into a child’s facility file and documents which are to be posted for parental view. There are no bodies of water on the premises.
Licensee Devorah Levin, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA Sabina Dodoo, discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee Devorah Levin, and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Licensee was encouraged to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and updates, and to also email childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list.
This home is being recommended for licensure.
