The facility resides on the campus of Cubberley Community Center in room M4. Present during the inspection were director, four (4) fingerprint-cleared staff, and 45 children in care. The facility is within ratio and in compliance with capacity regulations today. Upon arrival, LPA provided director a copy of the Entrance Checklist (LIC 125). The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. The facility’s current hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 1:55pm-6:00pm.

The facility is equipped with telephone service, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, pull-down fire alarms, and fully charged 4A80BC fire extinguishers that are accessible throughout the facility. Per director, the alarms are serviced annually by the Palo Alto Fire Department. Fully stocked first-aid kits are available in the classroom. A current snack menu was not posted upon LPA’s arrival, but director was able to print and post a current snack menu before the end of the inspection. Solid waste bins are equipped with tight fitting lids.
Bathrooms: There are communal bathrooms available throughout the community center. This facility uses primarily the two bathrooms closest to the classroom: one is down the walkway from the main entrance and the other is down the hallway from the back entrance of the classroom. Toilets and faucets are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. Toilets used by school-age children provides individual privacy.
