Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deanna Villagrana met with Emily Willet, director, for an unannounced case management inspection. Purpose of today's inspection: Unusual Incident that the Facility self reported to the Department on 02/12/2025. LPA discussed the incident with Emily during today's inspection.

A staff member made a whistle blower report online stating a child told her that they were hit by a teacher. UCSC Ethics Committee reported to UCSC Police Department who conducted a safety visit and interviewed staff. Case was closed. LPA conducted interview with RP and teacher who was stated to have hit the child. LPA tried interviewing child but child refused to talk. Based on interviews conducted, the incident is closed. LPA is awaiting copy of closed police report.

No deficiency was cited.
