25 | On September 14, 2022 at 11:15am,Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kassandra Medrano and Mel Matos met with Director, Stephanie Simmons and Kimberlee Biagini, Administrative Director,for an unannounced case management inspection Purpose of today's case management inspection:to inspect the remodeled outdoor space.The capacity remains unchanged at 15 school age children. Hours of operation: 12:30pm-5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Facility has a shared space waiver with the preschool program, license number (444408854) School age children will share outdoor space with the preschool program. Hard copy of the waiver was given to facility during inspection. LPA's observed that the preschool playground areas are surrounded by appropriate fencing. There is adequate equipment, supplies, and toys for the preschool children outdoors. The preschool playground areas have age appropriate & secure play structures. There are sufficient resilient materials underneath and surrounding the play structures in both playgrounds (wood chips). Shade is provided via trees. Drinking water is also available for the preschool children outdoors. Drinking water is available for the preschool children indoors via individual water bottles.Prior to inspection, on 09/07/2022, San Jose Regional office received an APPROVED fire clearance from Santa Cruz Fire Department.

TOTAL OUTDOOR SPACE: 5,148.131 sq. ft. divided by 75 = 68 preschool children.
During the inspection, Stephanie Simmons left for appointment, facility representative, kimberlee was able to sign and was was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPAs conducted an exit interview with Stephanie Simmons, Administrative Director, and advised her that remodeled outdoor space is to be approved for use as of 09/14/2022.
