The applicant/director stated poisons will be locked in the kitchen cabinet. There is a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and charged fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC in the facility. All Exits are marked. Items that could pose a danger to children (cleaning compounds, medication, etc) will be inaccessible. Children will nap on cots. Breakfast, lunch and a PM snack will be provided by the facility and prepared in the on site kitchen. The kitchen was inspected. Food was being properly stored and prep areas were sanitary. A sample menu is on file. The outdoor play yard measured for 62 children. There is safe toys and age appropriate equipment and sufficient shade. There is uncontaminated drinking water available for children both indoor and outdoor via individual labeled water bottles. There is wood chip cushioning under climbing structures to absorb falls. There are no bodies of water located on the property and none are to be added without prior notification and approval of the licensing agency. Unusual Incident Reporting was discussed. Children and staff records to be maintained were reviewed. Staff qualifications and ratio requirements were reviewed. Control of property is on file. This report, along with Lead Exposure Testing Flyer, COVID protocols and the self-assessment were reviewed and discussed with the applicant/director. All licensing reports are public information and must be made available upon request for at least three years. Based on the facility measurements, capacity will be granted for 48 children.
