25 | On August 6, 2024 at approximately 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Farhaan Sarangi arrived unannounced at SCS Loren Robinson Center for Day Program for the purpose of conducting a Required 1 year inspection. LPA was greeted at the door by Administrator, Jennifer Cravens.
LPA and the Supervisor toured the facility. LPA observed the facility was found to be clean and at a comfortable temperature with all exits free from obstruction. LPA observed a main area where clients do activities, an art room area, isolation room, toxins room where toxins are stored, changing room and a quiet room. Fire Extinguishers were found to be last charged on June 2024 at the time of the inspection. All smoke detectors sound directly to the local fire jurisdiction. Carbon monoxide detector was tested and operational during the inspection. Water temperature was appropriate. Supervisor advised that the facility orders food from outside and then gives out the food to the clients in care. There are special provisions made for individuals with special dietary needs. Medications were centrally stored and locked. Cleaning products and other toxins are locked and inaccessible to clients in care. There was a supply of cleaners, hygiene products and paper products available for clients and/or staff. All bathrooms designated for clients in the common areas at the facility were supplied with individual paper towels and hand soap. LPA reviewed 5 client files and found those to be appropriate during the review.
LPA reviewed 5 staff files and found those to be appropriate during the review. Staff that provide Care and Supervision have valid First Aid/CPR. First Aid kit was inspected and found to be appropriate during the inspection. LPA advised facility to contact County Public Health and Community Care Licensing immediately if symptoms of COVID-19 or other infectious diseases are present in the facility. LPA reviewed the Emergency Disaster Plan and the Infection Control Plan and found those documents to be appropriate during the inspection. Emergency Disaster Drill was conducted in July 2024.
