13 | On 7/16/24 at 8:45am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nicolette Cunningham conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with facility representative Robin Perez. It was alleged that staff yell at children in care.
A facility representative was interviewed on 5/2/24 at 11:31am and denied the allegation, and stated that staff communicate appropriately with children. Four staff and were interviewed on 4/30, 6/25, and 7/1/24 and staff reported hearing other staff sometimes use their teacher voice which is a firm tone. Seven parents were interviewed on 6/25/24 and two parents provided examples of times when they observed staff use a rude or bossy tone while communicating with children.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
