32 | conducted a search of the licensee’s home while ten children (C1-C8 and C11-C12) were in care. During the search, they observed the door from the living room to the garage had a plastic doorknob cover but was unlocked. One child (C11) demonstrated how they could open the door and access the garage, and confirmed they had been in the garage on multiple occasions. In the garage, officers observed an unlocked gun safe with marijuana, paraphernalia used for smoking marijuana, and 4 loaded guns.
During a previous inspection of the home on 6/5/25, Regional Manager Monath and LPA Cunningham toured the facility and photographed the safe in the garage.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegations are found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), are being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Aubree Mattice. Appeal rights were provided.
