25 | An unannounced case management inspection was conducted today at 9:00am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Nicolette Cunningham. LPA met with Director Crystal Connor in response to the director’s request for an increase of capacity from 10 to 12. An approved fire inspection was received on 2/5/24. The director acknowledged she understands the ratio requirements and has four staff with the required documentation on file.
The facility operates Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm in two classrooms (#1 ladybugs and #2 honeybees). The classrooms and outdoor place area were toured, and the facility sketch was verified.
An infant capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is sufficient indoor and outdoor space for 12 infants. There is a kitchen to store/prepare meals. There is an infant nap room area for infants to sleep with three cribs available and additional cots enough to meet capacity. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the mothers room. The changing tables are located in the classroom #2 and the infant bathroom. There is one sink and toilet for the infants to use. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises.
The capacity increase is approved for 12 infants effective March 25, 2024. A new license with a capacity limit of 12 will be sent to the director. There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal rights were provided. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Connor. |
