32 | Five staff were interviewed on 5/15, 6/17, 6/18, and 7/7/26. Two staff members stated they felt staff should intervene more quickly during children’s disagreements. Three staff reported observing other staff follow the discipline policy by providing redirection and positive reinforcement. One staff member stated they were unaware if the licensee filed an incident report.
On 5/15/26 at 2:15pm, the director provided a tour of the kitchen, opened cabinets, refrigerator and freezer and allowed LPA to photograph each space. LPA observed a surplus of dry food, canned food, and frozen food. LPA also observed staff providing adequate supervision to children in care.
Three parents provided a statement on 5/15, 6/10 and 7/7/26 and two parents stated their child has received scratches from one child. One parent stated they would not allow their child to attend if they did not feel they were safe.
During today’s inspection, LPA observed staff providing adequate supervision to 19 children in care.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director licensee Kari Siguenza. Appeal rights were provided.
