D1, S3 & S7 stated if a child was misbehaving, staff would support the child and give them tools to resolve the issue, encourage them to use their words. D1, S3 & S5 further stated an Incident report would be written and a plan would be created with parents if the behavior continued. Interviews from S2, S5 & S7 indicated that there have been Incidents of children misbehaving, but nothing troubling at this time.
According to other interviews, P2 stated that they can understand an incident involving a child misbehaving can be seen as a lack of supervision, but they have not seen or heard anything troubling to them. P3 stated children misbehave all the time and do not believe it is due to staff not providing proper care. P5 stated they were informed by others of having concerns with how Staff provides proper supervision, but they have not seen anything troubling themselves. Interviews from P1-P3, P4 indicated there are no concerns with the facility at this time. Children interviews did not result in any information to corroborate the allegation.
Based on the information gathered during this investigation, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the allegations occurred and therefore are determined to be unsubstantiated. There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited. This report was reviewed and discussed with the facility’s Director, Branda Hardaway. Appeal rights were provided. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit. |
