25 | A follow up prelicensing inspection visit was made to the home by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Y.Yang to inspect and approve the home's in ground pool fencing and gate. Title 22 regulations state that "Fences shall be at least five feet high and shall be constructed so that the fence does not obscure the pool from view. The bottom and sides of the fence shall comply with Division 1, Appendix Chapter 4 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code. In addition to meeting all of the aforementioned requirements for fences, gates shall swing away from the pool, self-close and have a self-latching device located no more than six inches from the top of the gate." The home has an in ground pool with steel pool fencing with vertical bars that is at least five feet high. The gate is self closing and self latching and swings away from the pool. There are no other bodies of water on the premises and none shall be added without prior approval fro mthe licensing agency.
The licensee Monisa Sediqi was previously licensed at facility number 483010089. The co licensee Tahmina Dehyar was previously licensed at facility number 073409105.The licensee and co licensee are requesting a license for a capacity of 14 children. Both applicants meet the experience requirements for a large FCCH. The approved fire clearance was received by the Department on 08/08/22. Services will be available Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM. The licensee understands that 24hr consecutive care is prohibited. The residence is a four bedroom/three bathroom, dual level home. There are currently two adults living in the home. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The floor and yard plans are verified. The children will have access to all areas of the home's first floor with the exception of the garage. The "off limits" area(s) include the home's attached garage and the home's second floor. These areas will be made inaccessible by door locks, latches, door knob covers, and/or child gates. The home appears to be clean and orderly at this time and will remain so during child care hours. (Continued on LIC809-C). |
