Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye met with Preschool Village South Principal, Lauren Hylton on 8/1/2022 at 9am. LPA was not able to document the site visit because LPA could not log into the FAS (Field Automated System) database. LPA told the Principal that a report would be generated and emailed to her so she could have a copy of the site visit.

LPA Ouye measured the four classrooms that will be used for the preschool program. The classrooms have sufficient square footage for 84 preschool children. There are sufficient furniture, equipment and toys for the children in care. There are functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers in the classrooms.

The outdoor activity area was also measured and exceeds the required square footage requirement for the 84 preschool children. On August 1, 2022 the outdoor area was not completed. As of 8/17/22 the Principal has sent LPA Ouye photos showing the outdoor area being completed. There is a play structure with sufficient wood chips as fall protection. There is sufficient shade from the building and trees for the children.

Effective August 17, 2022, the capacity increase from 35 to 84 children has been approved.
A new license will be sent to the Principal.
