A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 9:30am by Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Kirk Marks and Jackie Helton. LPA met with applicant NicolletteYacovetti. The applicant is requesting a license for a preschool age children, with a capacity of 10. The facility will operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12:30pm to 3:30pm and Tuesday and Thursday 8:30am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 3:30pm. The facility has one large room with one bathroom for children and one staff bathroom.

The indoor activity space was toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following area that will be off limits to children is the office space portion. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of child safe door knob. The isolation area for sick children will be located in isolated corner of main room.

The outdoor play area is not fully fenced. There are climbing exercise structures for children to play on and adequate cushioning underneath. The outdoor play area is not attached to the school, it is public park. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.

A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 12 children and outdoor space for 20 children. There are 1 toilets and 1 sinks available for children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 12. The gym space attached to the facility measures 980 sq ft, which will accommodate maximum capacity of 13 children, however is currently not being used. Possible waiver in the future.
