Review of Care Notes did not indicate any incident in which other residents entered R1s room. Further review of Care Notes indicated an incident in which R1 showed elevated behaviors and was yelling at a visiting performer alleging that this performer was wearing R1s shirt and had gone in their room to steal items. Staff were able to redirect R1 following this behavior.
Staff did not assist resident with getting dressed – RP alleges that they were informed by the facility that R1 was refusing to get dressed for a hospital visit resulting in RP “hollering at them through the Ring camera to get up”. RP stated that R1 was in tears due to being rushed to get ready. Interviews with management indicated it is facility policy to prompt a resident to complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) three (3) times, however, they are not able to force a resident if they continue to refuse. Further interviews with management indicated that R1 frequently refused ADLs requiring staff prompting and eventual acceptance from R1, but this was not a guarantee. RP states the facility did inform them of R1s refusals which resulted in RP rushing R1 to get dressed.
Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated.
No deficiencies cited. Exit interview conducted with Regional Director of Operation, whose signature on form confirms receipt.
