13 | Licensing Program Analyst Leibert arrived unannounced for the purpose of delivering findings on this complaint. During the course of this investigation statements were taken, documents were obtained and reviewed and site visits were made to the facility. The following determinations are made: On or about April 22, 2024, C1 observed R1 to be "unstable and hot" and requested staff to take R1's temperature; R1 had a reported temperature of 102 degrees and was sent for medical treatment; R1 was returned with a diagnosis of urinary tract infection; The Resident Care Notes for April 22, 2024, support the Complainant's statements regarding the incident and indicate that C1, rather than staff, noted R1's change in condition. Based upon the statements made and documents reviewed, there is a preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the allegation is SUBSTANTIATED. The following deficiencies were observed (see LIC 9099D) and cited from the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6 of California Regulation. Failure to correct the deficiency and/or repeat deficiencies within a 12 month period may result in civil penalties. Exit interview conducted and appeal of rights provided.
