LPA observed a working carbon monoxide and smoke detector in the facility. LPA observed a fire extinguisher that appeared charged in the facility. The facility conducted a fire/emergency drill within the last six months; the most recent fire/emergency drill was conducted on 01/15/25.
LPA observed the playground equipment and surface areas were in safe condition. There is wood chip cushioning underneath the climbing structure. LPA observed the wood chip cushioning to be very sparse, not dense enough to absorb falls from the climbing structure. Additionally the boarder around the climbing structure and sandbox was in disrepair, with chipped paint and decayed wooden supports. LPA observed two large climable dinosaurs figures that are anchored down into concrete slabs. Two areas of concrete were visible at the back of one of the dinosaurs, creating a fall zone hazard. There were no bodies of water observed on the site. D1 stated no weapons are stored on site, and none were observed.
During today's inspection, staffing ratios were being met, a total of 22 preschool children were supervised by 3-4 teachers. The facility was operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. All staff members present during the inspection possessed current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Five children’s records were reviewed and contained complete and current information as required. Four staff files were reviewed and contained all records as required.
