25 | A case management inspection visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amy Strother at the request of the licensee in inspect and approve a previously designated off-limits room in the home and an additional outdoor space for child care use. The licensee requested approval to use “bedroom #2”, labeled by the Licensee on the facility sketch, as an additional nap room, a 2,600 sq. ft. fully fenced area outdoors, labeled, “veggie garden” and a partially fenced outdoor play area, labeled, "twin oaks" as additional space. The licensee stated that she understands that when the partially fenced area is used, she and her assistant(s) must maintain supervision of the children at all times. The facility sketch was updated to reflect the additions and submitted to the department on 06/24/21. LPA toured and inspected the additional spaces and did not observe any hazards. The areas have been approved for use during day care hours. There are two bedrooms Bedroom #1 and Bedroom #3, two bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen, dining and living room that remain off-limits. The rooms were made inaccessible with child safety door knob covers. The licensee stated that she understands that the off limits rooms shall be made inaccessible at all times during child care hours. During today’s inspection the home and grounds were toured. No children were observed left in any parked vehicles and no deficiencies were observed. The licensee stated that the facility is closed for the week. No children were in attendance. Operating hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:15pm.
During today’s inspection, Safe Sleep regulations and safe sleep log requirements were reviewed and discussed with the Licensee. The AAP Guide to Safe Sleep Practices brochure and Effects of Lead Exposure brochure was provided and discussed with the Licensee.
There were no Title 22 deficiencies observed during today’s inspection. Notice of Site Visit shall be post for 30 days. |
