25 | A required inspection visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amy Strother. LPA met with Licensee, Emilio Perez (L1). Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
During today’s visit, L1 and one assistant (S1) were supervising 3 children; 2 infants over the age one year old (C1 & C2) and 1 preschool age child (C3), operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. L1 provided a current roster of children in care as required. LPA verified that all children present were listed on the roster. LPA observed both infants to be awake, in individual play yards upon arrival. S1 removed one infant (C2) from the play yard to join the preschool age child in play. One infant, (C1) remained resting in the play yard located in the room where L1 and LPA met. LPA reviewed safe sleep logs for C1 and C2. There were days listed on the sleep log that did not have times filled in. L1 stated that the infant did not sleep or was absent on those days. LPA recommended that L1 write in, "did not sleep" or "absent" if he is going to list the date on the log, for good record keeping and clarification.
There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today's inspection.
A notice of site visit was given to licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee, Emilio Perez.
