Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye met with the applicant, Maayan Schoeman and the director, Anna Hagmann.

The applicant submitted an applicant on June 17, 2021. The fire inspection was received on July 14, 2021 from the Petaluma Fire Department. The facility is a classroom center. The square footage is sufficient to support the applicant's request to license 30 preschool age children. There are two toilets in the classroom and two toilets in the hallway leading to the outdoor activity area. There are four sinks for the children in care. There are two fire extinguishers (one in each classroom) rated at 3A40BC. There are functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. There are sufficient equipment, chairs, tables and toys for the children in care. Children will arrived with personal lunches and children will utilized individual refillable water bottles for indoor and outdoor use. The sign in and sign out will be done at the entry in the room where the toilets and sinks are located to allow the children to wash their hands upon entry. The Covid-19 mitigation plan includes daily wellness checks, temperature checks and recording, children and staff will wear masks indoors. The staff will clean and disinfect high contact surfaces thought out the day and a deep cleaning at the end of the day.

The outdoor activity area has age appropriate outdoor equipment. There is sufficient square footage to support the program. The is sufficient fall protection consisting of wood chips and rubberized padding. The children will bring their personal water bottles outdoors from in the classroom., There are many trees to provide adequate shade throughout the day.

The applicant understands that all staff working with children alone are required to have current criminal record clearance and associating to the facility.

The physical plant is ready for licensure. LPA Ouye will review the application and will work with the applicant to license the facility in early August 2021.
