25 | A case management visit was made to the facility today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amy Strother at the request of the licensee, Adriana Ortega Villa based on an updated form LIC999A Facility Sketch – Floor Plan received by the Department on 12/17/25. The purpose of the visit was for LPA to inspect and approve previously off-limits areas for child care use and ensure that areas that were previously used for care, now listed as off-limits, have been made inaccessible.
The licensee is requesting approval to add the kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom 1, bedroom 3 and the bathroom of the main home to the approved on-limits areas for children in care. The dining area has a wall heater. Licensee stated that instead of barricading the wall heater, it will not be used during daycare hours, and will use a wall mounted mini split heater system that will not be within reach of the children. LPA inspected the rooms and approved them for childcare use. The licensee stated that she understands that on-limits areas shall have safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment whenever children are in care. LPA observed the home to be equipped with working smoke detectors, a carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher rated at least 2-A10:BC. The off-limits areas of the home are bedroom 2, the garage and the entire detached unit on the property, made inaccessible by locked doors or a door knob cover.
The main home's backyard remains off-limits, made inaccessible by latched gates. The portion of the yard surrounding the detached unit and is fully fenced, will continue to be used for childcare. A portion of the fencing was observed to be climbable. The Licensee stated she understands the responsibility to supervise children at all time, while using the yard.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. This report was reviewed with the licensee, Adriana Ortega Villa. There were no Title 22 regulations cited during today's inspection.
