25 | On 8/26/24 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maja Jensen arrived at facility unannounced to conduct a required 1 year annual. LPA Jensen met with Licensee Janet Kanno and explained the purpose of today's visit. The facility currently has 4 clients. All clients were at Day Program during the course of this inspection.
LPA Jensen toured the grounds. There are no bodies of water on the property. Patio furniture and shaded areas are available for client use. All paths were free of obstruction. All window screens were in good repair. The screen door to the backyard is in the process of being replaced. LPA Jensen toured the interior which was observed to be sanitary and free of odor. The furnishings in the common areas were observed to be adequate. The knives, medications, and cleaning supplies were observed to be locked and inaccessible. LPA Jensen toured the kitchen and observed a 2 day supply of perishable food and a 7 day supply of non-perishable food. The carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector were tested and found to be in good working order. The facility maintains emergency lighting and an emergency food supply. The fire extinguisher was last serviced in September of 2023 and is in compliance.
LPA Jensen inspected the residents rooms and found them to be in compliance. The thermostat was set at 75 degrees for the comfort of the residents. The bathroom in the master bedroom has dry wall that is need of repair. Technical assistance was provided.
LPA Jensen reviewed 2 staff files. The staff files were in compliance. LPA Jensen reviewed 4 of 4 client files and determined them to be compliant. LPA Jensen reviewed the LIC 308 which designates Margaret Barcham or Goliath Kanno.
The facility was determined to be in substantial compliance. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report as provided. |
