25 | On 5/2/24 at approximately 9:50am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maja Jensen arrived at facility to conduct a scheduled pre-licensing visit. LPA Jensen met with Mai and Nancy Xiong and explained the purpose of today's visit. Both have current Administrator certificates. There are no clients in the facility as of yet.
LPA Jensen toured the grounds and observed the grounds to be well maintained and all paths were free of obstruction. There are no bodies of water on the property. All window screens were observed to be in good repair. The backyard has outdoor furniture and a shaded area available. There are garden beds in the backyard for client use. LPA Jensen toured the interior of the facility. All furniture was in good condition and there was adequate lighting throughout. The facility was observed to be sanitary. All required postings were observed displayed on the wall in the front hallway. Night lights were placed in the hallways. There are 4 single occupancy bedrooms. All bedrooms were furnished with a night stand, chair, lamp and dresser. The facility had an adequate supply of linens. All cleaning supplies were observed to be locked. There is a medication room that is locked. Knives and other sharp objects are kept locked in the medication room which is located adjacent to the kitchen. LPA Jensen measured the water temperature in the bathroom at 118.2 degrees which falls with the required regulatory range of 105 degrees to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
The facility has working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. The fire extinguisher was last serviced in December of 2023 and is in compliance. LPA Jensen reviewed the emergency disaster plan and determined it to be in compliance. The facility maintains a first aid kit that is complete. There is emergency water, food and supplies available. LPA Jensen reviewed the liability insurance and surety bond which is current and meets the required liability policy limits.
The inspection tool was used during the course of this inspection. The facility is in substantial compliance and the applicant has passed the pre-licensing inspection. Component III and an exit interview were conducted. A copy of this report was provided. |
