25 | On 09/03/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles, conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with designated ERSEA Support Services Coordinator Sarah Cromwell, toured the facility indoors and outdoors. At the time of the inspection, there were 16 children present. The preschool operates a full school day schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00AM- 2:00PM during the traditional school year.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The classroom has a calming corner, lounge, child-sized table, chairs, mounted monitor, dramatic play, circle time area, blocks, and age-appropriate learning materials. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises.
Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The playground has a playground structure with climbing equipment and slides, a sand box, tricycles, shaded picnic tables, music instruments, bubble wands, and tinker toys. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises.
Drinking water is available and provided by drinking fountains both indoors and outdoors and a water dispenser with disposable cups. This facility provides the class breakfast and lunch. Food is prepared at the Fairview Elementary School cafeteria and delivered daily. Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them.
