25 | On 05/14/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Brenda Harlen. LPA explained the reason for the visit. LPA Fierro confirmed the home has a working telephone service. Adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. There are no excluded individuals present at this home.
During today’s inspection licensee stated there are no firearms, ammunition or bodies of water on the premises. Licensee stated there are two (2) dogs in the home. Licensee understands the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets.
LPA conducted a census, during today’s inspection there were four (4) children present in the home, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. A current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that day care room 1, day care room 2, bathroom and back yard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by door spinners and locks
During today’s inspection LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a single-story home. LPA did not observe any fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There are a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
During today’s inspection LPA observed areas, surfaces, carpets, and floors accessible to the children are in operable and sanitary condition. LPA observed the home to have age-appropriate toys, dramatic play equipment, and learning materials. Licensee stated poisons are kept in the garage and in the bottom cabinet in the kitchen. LPA did not observe any poisons during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. CON'T 809-C
