25 | On 08/20/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Tanya Doty. Also present was licensee’s spouse/ assistant. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:00AM-4:30PM.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the living room, kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom, bedrooms #2 and #3 are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of a child safety gate. Safe toys and play equipment are observed; in bedroom #2, there is a mounted television, age-appropriate toys, blocks, and learning materials. There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee reports that are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number.
The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. There is a climbing truck play structure, a slide, toys, and balls for children use during outdoor play. There is a built-in swimming pool in the backyard which is fenced and made inaccessible. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. Licensee is in compliance with AB2866 - The Pool Safety Act; there is a 5’ ASTM2286 mesh fence with a self-closing, self-latching gate that opens away from the swimming pool, an ASTM 2208 pool safety alarm, US Coast Guard approved life ring, and a rescue pole with a body hook. Licensee records daily inspections of all pool safety equipment. Continued on LIC809-C.
