25 | On 03/06/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Kari McWilliams conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection- Deficiencies for the preschool license. LPA met with Teacher, Catherine Sanguinetti and a census was taken. LPA toured the facility, inside and outside.
While conducting the census, LPA and LPM observed 20 preschool children being supervised by two staff. LPM conducted a file review and determined that the two staff included one fully qualified teacher (Staff 4) and one teacher aide (Staff 5). Within 30 minutes, three preschool children were picked up bringing the classroom back into ratio. This is a violation of CCR101216.3(b)(1) and poses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights to children in care.
During an inspection and reviewing facility surveillance footage, on 01/07/2025 at approximately 1:06PM, Staff #4 left the back preschool classroom and enter into another room for several minutes, leaving the preschool children unsupervised. This is a violation of CCR101229(a)(1). This poses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights to children in care.
Exit interview conducted with the Teacher Catherine Sanguinetti. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, this deficiencies are cited on the attached LIC 809D. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days. |
