On 05/27/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced complaint inspection. LPA met with Director Janet Guthmiller. The purpose of the inspection was to deliver the findings for the above complaint allegation.
During the course of the investigation, LPA interviewed the Director, day care staff, and day care parents. LPA reviewed documentation pertinent to the investigation, observed children to be adequately supervised and within ratio; however, interviews yielded inconsistent narratives. Although these allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations; therefore, the allegations that, ‘day care child sustained multiple injuries due to staff neglect,’ and, ‘staff are not adequately supervising day care children,’ are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency is cited during today’s visit. Exit interview conducted with the Janet Guthmiller. Appeal rights were provided and discussed. A Notice of Site Visit was given and will be posted for 30 days.
