32 | In regard to the allegations that “Licensee allowed uncleared staff to work at the facility,” and, “Licensee does not ensure staff’s immunization records are up to date,” Director Meredith Lawrence stated that she did not obtain the appropriate authorization for placement and immunization paperwork for all of the California State University, Stanislaus Child Development Program Internship students that were placed at her Child Care Center. Facility staff have their Criminal Record Clearance and immunization records on file.

In regard to the allegations that, “staff inappropriately disciplines day care children,” and “staff do not provide supervision to day care children in the bathroom,” based on statements made during witness and child interviews, children are isolated on a bench during outdoor playtime for a significant amount of time as a form of discipline and children in classroom #5 regularly go into the attached bathroom without a teacher visually observing them.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, Type B deficiencies will be cited (see 9099-D). Exit interview conducted with the Director, Meredith Lawrence.
