13 | On 11/25/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced complaint inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to deliver investigation findings. LPA met with Director Meredith Lawrence. A tour of the facility was conducted, and a census was taken.
This agency investigated the complaint alleging staff do not meet day care children’s diapering needs. During the investigation, LPA visually observed the infant classrooms, reviewed facility records, obtained documents pertinent to the investigation, interviewed staff and witnesses.
During staff and witness interviews, it was determined that staff does not always use baby wipes when changing urine diapers of infants. This violates CCR 101428(b) and poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. Children need to be in a safe, healthful, and comfortable environment. Therefore, based on staff and witness interviews, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. |
