LPA discussed the Community Care Licensing website: www.ccld.ca.gov, which provides access to forms, regulations, Provider Information Notices (PINs), and updates.
LPA reviewed Reporting Requirements under Section 101212. Site Supervisor Sharlet Adamzadeh was reminded that all adults 18 and older, including employees and volunteers (unless exempt under Health and Safety Code section 1596.871), must have a criminal record clearance or exemption before being present at the facility. A civil penalty of $100/day (up to 5 days, or 30 days for repeat violations) may be assessed for noncompliance.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370 requires all licensed Child Care Centers built before January 1, 2010, to test drinking and food preparation water for lead by January 1, 2023, and every five years thereafter. Centers licensed after July 1, 2022, must test within 180 days of licensure. LPA verified that lead testing was completed per PIN 21-21.1-CCP. LPA referred Site Supervisor Sharlet Adamzadeh to the Department’s water testing page: www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/water-testing-information.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services (IMS). LPA reviewed medication storage, equipment, and related records. For IMS guidance, see PIN 22-02-CCP. ADA information was provided, including the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice) or (800) 514-0383 (TTY), and the publication Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA at: https://www.ada.gov/resources/child-carecenters/.
Site Supervisor Sharlet Adamzadeh was informed about MyChildCarePlan.org, a consumer education website connecting families to child care providers and Resource & Referral Agencies across California.
