25 | On 3/19/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Pacheco conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection and met with Director, Ariana Sederquist. LPA reviewed the reason of the inspection, and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside.
During today's inspection, LPA verified the following items have been corrected:
Indoor
· Make modifications to water fountain so that it’s not a drowning hazard or make inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed the water fountain to be completely turned off and drained of water.
· Obtain a trash can with a tight-fitting lid for solid waste disposal.
Outdoor
· Modify fencing along southwest corner of the preschool playground so that it’s four feet high.
During today’s inspection, Director informed LPA that they are withdrawing their application to be licensed for a school age component. Facility is now requesting to be licensed for 105 preschool children in rooms 110 and 112-117. Room 110 was originally intended to be licensed as a school age room but now it will be a preschool classroom. The total square footage to all preschool classrooms measured to an approximate 3,830 square feet which is enough to accommodate the requested capacity of 105 preschool children. LPA observed 7 sinks/handwashing fixtures and 8 toilets for preschool children’s use which is enough to accommodate the requested capacity of 105 preschool children. Director submitted a revised application to reflect the newly requested capacity totals.
