25 | On 12/14/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeovanna Yanez arrived at the facility to conduct an unnanounced case management inspection. LPA was greeted by Licensee, Blanca Ortiz, and a census was taken. The purpose of this inspection is to discuss safe sleep regulations with Licensee.
Today, LPA observed baby walker attached to discovery table for infant use in the living room. Licensee stated this device is only used by Child #1, who is Licensee's infant granddaughter, whom she recently started taking care of. The infant was in care during the time of the inspection today. Licensee removed the baby walker during today's inspection. LPA reviewed the following regulation with Licensee: Operation of a Family Child Care Home 102417(g)(10) states "(10) A baby walker shall not be allowed on the premises of a family child care home in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 1596.846(b) and (c)." A technical violation was issued to address safe sleep regulations, and review baby items that are and are not allowed in licensed family child care homes.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiency is being cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
