25 | On 9/10/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Brandon Tate conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Gloria Solorio. LPA arrived at facility at approximately 0950 hours and was greeted by Licensee’s assistant Silvia Diaz. LPA asked if Gloria Solorio was present and Assistant Diaz stated that she was present at the facility and left to inform Licensee. LPA was shortly thereafter, greeted by Licensee Gloria. Also present was licensee’s husband, Adalberto Solorio who was assisting today. Days and hours of operation were confirmed by licensee to be Monday through Friday, 0700 – 1730 hours.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken; there are 9 children in total, 2 of those being infants under the age of 24 months. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the back yard, kitchen, bathroom, and living room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of a baby gate and door knob spinners.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. LPA did not observe any animals in today’s inspection. However, LPA did discuss the liability of pets in the home.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the Living room and is made inaccessible by a large plexiglass screen fastened to the brick fireplace and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (209) 277-0328.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
