25 | On 08/19/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Ashtyn Goss. Also present were licensee’s three assistants. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:00AM-6:00PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. There were 10 children present, including three infants. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the daycare room, hallway, hallway bathroom and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. Children are escorted to and from the backyard for outdoor play. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of a child safety gate and doorknob spinners. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA observed child sized tables, chairs, play kitchen, lounge area, cubbies, a mounted television, plenty of age-appropriate learning materials, books and toys. There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee reported that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. There are Little Tikes buggies, climbing structures with slides, a caterpillar tunnel and picnic tables for children to use during outdoor play. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with emergency information as required. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 02/01/2024. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires on 01/20/2026. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis and measles. Continued to LIC809-C.
