25 | On 11/04/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aurelio Mendoza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection and was met by Licensee Nazifa Qamary, with assistance from her husband. Licensee speaks English and Farsi. The facility operates Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
LPA toured the facility, reviewing the floor plan. Areas accessible to children include the living room, kitchen, dining room, one bedroom, hallway restroom, and the backyard. All other areas are off-limits, secured by child safety devices. There is no swimming pool, firearms, or ammunition on-site. Hazardous materials, including poisons, detergents, and cleaning compounds, are secured and inaccessible. The home is equipped with a fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and adequate ventilation.
The single-level home, without stairs, contains safe toys and play equipment. The backyard is fenced and free from hazards. The facility maintains capacity within license requirements. Licensee confirmed working telephone service at (916) 776-0964 and ensures children are supervised at all times, without leaving them in parked vehicles.
LPA reviewed children's files, which were complete with emergency contact information. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training is valid through 05/16/2024, and her pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires on 04/20/2026. Immunization records for staff and volunteers are up-to-date for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
