25 | On 02/02/2023, an office meeting was conducted at the Fresno Regional Child Care Office. In attendance during this meeting was Regional Manager, Rebecca Varela, Licensing Program Manager, Rene Mancinas, Licensing Program Analyst, Jeovanna Yanez, and applicant, Marcelina Messina. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss pending Family Child Care Home application status and an incident that occurred on 11/08/2020.
It is the mission of the Community Care Licensing Division, Child Care Program to ensure the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care are being safeguarded. The mission is met through consultative, preventive, and enforcement actions, including ensuring applicants have a thorough understanding of licensing requirements and California’s Health & Safety Codes and Title 22 Regulations pertaining to licensed child care facilities.
Applicant understands all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance. Applicant also understands the requirement for applicant and all other persons residing in the home to be of reputable and responsible character. This requirement is satisfied in part, with the obtaining of a criminal record clearance.
Applicant was provided with information and resources available on the Community Care Licensing Website www.ccld.ca.gov , which provides access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poising Facts, forms, and regulations.
