· Applicant completed the Mandated Reporter Training on June 22, 2022.
· Applicant provided proof of control of property.
· In the living room, LPA observed one crib, a diaper changing table, children size furniture and chairs, wooden cubbies for storage, a flat screen television mounted on the wall, a small pop-up tent, and safe games, toys, and books for the children. Children will nap on cots, infants will nap in crib in the living room. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times.
· Fenced sideyard has artificial turf for the children. There's a patio porch for shade. LPA observed a little tykes slide, a little tykes basketball hoop, two toy cars, a chalkboard, and safe games and toys for the children.
· Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
· Knives are stored in a bottom kitchen drawer made inaccessible via safety latch. Medications are stored in top kitchen cabinet made inaccessible via safety latch. Cleaning compounds are stored in the off-limits garage and in a bottom kitchen cabinet made inaccesssible via safety latch.
· There is an in-ground pool that is fenced with 5 ft. iron rod fencing on both sides of the house, in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. The gates are self-latching/self-closing and latching device is located no more than six inches from the top of the gate. LPA observed two windows with direct access into the pool.
· There are two cats that are kept in the side-run of the home. Applicant is advised it is her responsibility to ensure the safety of children in care at all times from the pets.
· Applicant states there are no firearms or ammunition in the home or premises.
· Advised applicant fire drills are to be conducted once every 6 months and must be documented with date and time. A fire drill log was provided as an example.
· Applicant is advised at least one staff member with current training in pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR is to be on site at all times children are present.
· Applicant is reminded that any advertising (of day-care) such as business cards, flyers/posters, and/or signs must include facility number as per Title 22 Regulation "Advertisements and License Number" 102359 (a).
· Applicant is advised that smoking is prohibited on the premises of a family child care home as specified in Health and Safety Code Section 1596.795(a). Applicant states the home is smoke-free.
