25 | On 03/19/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Iris Mendez. Licensee is Spanish Speaking and LPA Aurelio Mendoza assisted with interpretation by telephone. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-2:00PM or as arranged with Licensee.
LPA toured the home inside, outside and a census was taken. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the living room, dining room, and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and a child safety gate. There is no fireplace in the home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. Licensee has a mounted television on the wall, wooden cubbies for storage, children size furniture, and safe games, toys, and books for the children. There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. There is a patio porch for shade. LPA observed a two playhouses, a sand box, a small wooden bench, two Little Tikes play cars, and other safe toys. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Licensee advised it is her responsibility to ensure the safety of children in care at all times from the pets. Licensee reported that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
