25 | On 08/20/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Jennifer Snelling. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:30AM-5:30PM.
LPA toured the home inside, outside and a census was taken. There were six children present, including three infants. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms (classroom and play room) and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of doorknob covers. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA observed age-appropriate learning materials, toys, books, games, child-sized table, chairs, furniture, a flat screen television mounted on the wall, and wooden cubbies for storage. There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a screen gate and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee reported that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. LPA observed patio furniture, a Step 2 play structure, a Step 2 play house, and other safe toys for the children to use during outdoor play.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with emergency information as required. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 03/24/2024. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires on 04/26/2026. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis and measles. Continued to LIC809-C.
