32 | A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
LPA reviewed the facility sketch and confirmed that the living room #1, Living room #2 (daycare room), dining room, bedroom #1, and hallway bathroom are accessible and available for the children to use while in care. LPA observed child size furniture, safe toys, colorful play mats, age-appropriate books, learning materials, puzzles, building blocks, a play kitchen, and a play tent for the children in the daycare room. LPA also observed five highchairs in the dining room, a diaper changing table in the daycare room, two cribs and sleep cots in bedroom #1. Infants will nap in cribs and children will nap on sleep cots in bedroom #1. There is a parent board that is located on the wall of the daycare room. LPA advised licensee the parents board must be readily available for parents to view. Required items are posted in the Child Care Home where parents may easily view in daycare room.
In the fenced backyard, LPA observed two plastic play structures, Little Tykes buggies, swings, and slides. LPA did not observe bodies of water in the home or premises. Licensee states she is currently not providing transportation of day care children. Licensee understands that she must have proper restraints and/or car seats for all the children under her care when transporting children.
Fire clearance was received on 07/23/2026. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left side wall. Facility has a FE2A10GR fire extinguisher mounted on the left side of the entryway of the home. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
Licensee is advised that smoking is prohibited on the premises of a family child care home as specified in Health and Safety Code Section 1596.795(a). Licensee states the home is smoke-free. Licensee states she does not have firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
During visit capacity worksheet was provided and discussed.
LPA & licensee discussed the Community Care Licensing website: LPA and licensee discussed new additions to the website that include the new PIN (Provider Information Notification) and information for providers including the Quarterly Update that informs licensees of new legislation and regulations. Please follow these steps go to http://www.cdss.ca.gov/, click on “information and resources” click “Community Care Licensing” Click “quarterly updates” click “Child Care advocates program” and register to PIN. Licensee is advised it is her responsibility to read and maintain the family child care home incompliance with Title 22 Regulations. Title 22 Regulations can be found at www.ccld.ca.gov.
