25 | On 06/15/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Ka Vang conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Berenice Correa. Also present in the daycare home was licensee’s spouse. Licensee confirmed that the facility operates Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The home has a working telephone service, and LPA confirmed the phone number.
This is a two-story home. The stair to the second floor is made inaccessible to children under 5 years old through the use of a retractable safety gate when children under 5 years old are present. LPA conducted a tour of the home, both inside and outside, and took a census of the children present. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. LPA reviewed the current facility sketch and confirmed that the front entrance living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, and hallway downstair restroom are designated for child care areas and are accessible to children. All other rooms in the home are off-limits and made inaccessible by using retractable gate, doorknob spinners, and/or key lock. Safe toys and age-appropriate play equipment were observed.
Licensee confirmed that there are firearms on the premises. LPA verified that all firearms and ammunition are stored separately, each in a locked storage area, in accordance with regulations. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area, and no poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other hazardous items were observed to be made inaccessible to children.
LPA observed there are fireplaces located in the living room, and it is made inaccessible to the children as there is a fireplace safety screen installed. Licensee stated that the fireplace is not being used during daycare hours.
